Chiropractor Serving Larkspur Patients
Dr. Charles Zollner has been providing chiropractic care to patients across the North Bay since 1998, and many of his patients make the short trip up from Larkspur. Our office at 4380 Redwood Highway, Suite B-6 in San Rafael is just a few miles north, so getting here is quick and getting back to your day is easy.
Dr. Zollner uses a gentle, instrument-based approach that removes the need for manual cracking. Rather than applying forceful adjustments, he combines several chiropractic techniques with modern diagnostics, including digital X-ray, to find the true source of your pain and build a care plan around your specific situation.
Larkspur is a community that takes its outdoor lifestyle seriously, from hiking the trails at Baltimore Canyon to playing volleyball at Piper Park, and keeping up with that lifestyle is exactly what we help you do. For our Spanish-speaking neighbors in Larkspur, el Dr. Zollner habla Español.

Conditions We Treat for Larkspur Patients
Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, a recent injury, or stiffness from working at a desk, Dr. Zollner can help. Here are the most common conditions our Larkspur patients come in for:
Auto Accident Care for Larkspur Residents
Highway 101 runs through the eastern edge of Larkspur, and the Sir Francis Drake Boulevard interchange is one of the busiest in central Marin County. Commuter traffic heading to and from the Larkspur Ferry Terminal creates congestion at the on-ramps and off-ramps during peak hours, and rear-end collisions on this stretch of the freeway are a regular occurrence. If you've been in a car accident, chiropractic care can help with whiplash, neck pain, back pain, and other soft tissue injuries that often don't show up until days after the collision.
What You Should Know After an Accident
Larkspur Resources for Active Living
Larkspur is a community built around an active, outdoor lifestyle. Whether you're hiking the ridgeline, swimming laps at the community pool, or cheering on the Trojans, staying active sometimes means dealing with pain. Here are local resources our patients frequently mention:
Baltimore Canyon Open Space Preserve & Dawn Falls
One of Larkspur's signature outdoor destinations, Baltimore Canyon Preserve covers hundreds of acres of towering coast redwoods, fern-lined trails, and the seasonal 30-foot Dawn Falls. The main trailhead at the end of Madrone Avenue leads hikers along Larkspur Creek through a shaded canyon floor before a steep climb to the falls. The terrain, including exposed roots, creek crossings, and switchbacks, is beautiful but can be hard on knees and ankles. Trail runners and dog walkers use these trails year-round.
Piper Park
Located at 250 Doherty Drive, Piper Park is Larkspur's largest park at 2.2 acres and serves as the city's main recreational hub. Facilities include tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, softball fields, a playground, a dog park, and picnic areas. Youth soccer and softball leagues use the fields regularly. Weekend tournaments and family recreation make this park one of the most heavily used in the city, and the sports activities generate a steady stream of shoulder, knee, and lower back injuries we see in the office.
Redwood High School Athletics
Redwood High School, home of the Giants, is located on Doherty Drive and serves students from Larkspur, Corte Madera, and portions of Kentfield. The school fields teams in football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, volleyball, water polo, swimming, wrestling, field hockey, and more. Student athletes and their parents are among our most frequent patients, whether addressing sports injuries or maintaining performance through regular chiropractic care.
King Mountain Open Space Preserve
Accessible from several points in Larkspur and neighboring communities, King Mountain offers a challenging 3-mile loop trail with steep terrain and panoramic views of Mount Tamalpais and San Francisco Bay. The trail connects to Baltimore Canyon and the Southern Marin Line fire road, allowing runners and hikers to extend their outings into longer loops. The elevation changes and technical footing make this a demanding hike that can aggravate hip, knee, and lower back issues.
SMART Pathway & Larkspur Ferry Terminal
The SMART commuter rail station in Larkspur connects the city to San Rafael, Novato, Petaluma, and points north, and the adjacent ferry terminal runs daily service to San Francisco. The SMART Pathway, a paved multi-use trail that runs alongside the rail line, is popular with cyclists, joggers, and walkers. The Cal Park Hill Tunnel section of the pathway connects Larkspur to downtown San Rafael, making it a convenient and scenic commute route and a source of overuse injuries for regular riders.
Highway 101 & Sir Francis Drake Boulevard Interchange
The Sir Francis Drake Boulevard interchange at Highway 101 is one of the busiest interchanges in central Marin County. Ferry commuters heading to and from the Larkspur Terminal, combined with through traffic on 101, create congestion during peak hours. Rear-end collisions, lane-change accidents, and fender benders are common in this corridor. If you've been in an accident near this interchange, our office is just a few miles north on the same highway.
