Getting Here from Lucas Valley

Lucas Valley sits just north of our office, so most residents reach us in well under ten minutes by car. We are on Redwood Highway between Freitas Parkway and Smith Ranch Road.

Driving Directions

  • From Central Lucas Valley (Las Gallinas Avenue Area): Head south on Las Gallinas Avenue, then turn left to stay on Manuel T. Freitas Parkway. Turn left onto Redwood Frontage Road and continue about three quarters of a mile. The entrance to our lot is a right turn onto the service road just past The Vineyard: look for the LJ's Café sandwich board, then make a quick left. Suite B-6 is on the left. The whole drive runs about five to seven minutes.

  • From the Lucas Valley Road / Miller Creek Road Interchange: You don't need the freeway for this one. Head east, continuing straight as Lucas Valley Road becomes Smith Ranch Road. Just after you pass the Bank of America on your right, turn right onto Redwood Frontage Road. Follow it a short distance, then turn left into our lot (a restricted-access service road). Suite B-6 is on the left, next to The Vineyard. It's about a five-minute drive.

  • From The West End Of Lucas Valley (Mont Marin / Big Rock Area): Follow Lucas Valley Road east for roughly two miles as it flows directly onto Smith Ranch Road. No turn onto Las Gallinas is needed. Just after the Bank of America on your right, turn right onto Redwood Frontage Road, then turn left into our lot. Suite B-6 is on the left, next to The Vineyard. The drive takes about six minutes.

Conditions We Treat for Lucas Valley Patients

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, a recent injury, or stiffness from working at a desk, Dr. Zollner can help. Here are the most common conditions our Lucas Valley patients come in for:

Auto Accident Care for Lucas Valley Residents

Lucas Valley Road is a winding, two-lane road that carries commuters, cyclists, and weekend traffic out toward Nicasio, and the points where it meets Highway 101 at Miller Creek Road see their share of collisions. If you have been in a car accident, chiropractic care can help with whiplash, neck pain, back pain, and other soft tissue injuries that often do not surface until days after the impact.

What You Should Know After an Accident

Dr. Zollner works with personal injury cases and can document your injuries for insurance purposes. Most auto insurance policies cover chiropractic care after an accident. The sooner you're evaluated, the better your chances of a full recovery and a properly documented claim.

Lucas Valley Resources for Active Living

Lucas Valley is a community built around an active, outdoor lifestyle. Whether you're hiking the ridgeline, swimming laps at the community pool, or cheering on the Trojans, staying active sometimes means dealing with pain. Here are local resources our patients frequently mention:

  • Big Rock Ridge & Loma Alta Open Space

Big Rock Ridge is one of the highest points in Marin, and the fire roads climbing it from the Lucas Valley side are a favorite with serious hikers and trail runners. The steep, sustained grades are rewarding but hard on knees, hips, and ankles, especially on the way back down. We see plenty of patients who love these trails and want to keep using them.

  • Lucas Valley Road Cycling Route

Lucas Valley Road is one of Marin's classic rides, a rolling, scenic route that draws cyclists from across the Bay Area out toward Nicasio. Long days in the saddle take a toll on the neck, lower back, and shoulders, and the occasional spill adds its own injuries. Regular chiropractic care helps riders stay comfortable and on the bike.

  • Highway 101 & Miller Creek Road Interchange

The interchange where Lucas Valley Road and Miller Creek Road meet Highway 101 is the main gateway in and out of the area, and it gets busy during commute hours. It is also a common spot for the rear-end collisions and fender benders that lead to whiplash and soft tissue injuries. If you have been in an accident here, an early evaluation matters.

  • Miller Creek School District Athletics

Lucas Valley families send their kids to schools in the Miller Creek School District, including Mary Silveira Elementary, Vallecito Elementary, and Miller Creek Middle School. Youth sports bring a steady stream of sprains, strains, and overuse injuries. Gentle chiropractic care helps young athletes recover and get back to the game.

  • Kaiser Permanente San Rafael

Kaiser's San Rafael Medical Center on Lucas Valley Road is less than 5 minutes from Marinwood. Many of our Marinwood patients combine their Kaiser primary care with chiropractic treatment for a more complete approach to pain management. We coordinate with your primary care provider when needed.

  • Marinwood Community Park & Pool

Just east of Lucas Valley, Marinwood Community Park on Miller Creek Road offers ball fields, a playground, and a popular seasonal pool that many Lucas Valley families treat as a second backyard. Recreation keeps the body strong, but swimmers' shoulders and weekend warrior aches are real. We help active families stay that way.
