Chiropractor Serving Marinwood Patients

Dr. Charles Zollner has been providing chiropractic care to Marinwood residents since 1998. His office at 4380 Redwood Highway, Suite B‑6, in San Rafael is a quick 5-minute drive from the Marinwood Community Center, making it easy to fit an appointment into your day.

Marinwood is an active, outdoor-oriented community. Getting Here from Marinwood

Marinwood is one of the closest communities to our office. Most Marinwood residents can get here in about 5 minutes by car, heading south on Miller Creek Road to Highway 101 and taking the Lucas Valley/Smith Ranch Road exit.

Driving Directions

  • From Marinwood Community Center (Miller Creek Road): You don't actually need the freeway for this one. Head south on Miller Creek Road and turn onto Lucas Valley Road heading toward Highway 101. Stay on it as it flows directly into Smith Ranch Road, and just after you pass the Bank of America on your right, turn right onto Redwood Frontage Road (the service road running along the highway). Follow it about half a mile, then turn left into our lot. Suite B-6 is on the left. Look for the LJ's Café sandwich board at the driveway. The whole trip is about five to six minutes.

  • From Marinwood via Surface Streets (No Freeway): Head south on Miller Creek Road to its intersection with Las Gallinas Avenue. Turn onto Las Gallinas heading south, then turn left onto Lucas Valley Road. Lucas Valley flows into Smith Ranch Road; just past the Bank of America on your right, turn right onto Redwood Frontage Road and follow it to our lot, turning left into the driveway. Suite B-6 is on the left, next to The Vineyard. This is the genuine no-freeway route and takes about six minutes.

  • From Highway 101 (For Marinwood Commuters): If you're already on 101, take the Lucas Valley Road / Smith Ranch Road exit. Head toward Smith Ranch Road, and just after the Bank of America on your right, turn right onto Redwood Frontage Road. Follow it about half a mile to our lot and turn left into the driveway. Suite B-6 is on your left.

Conditions We Treat for Marinwood Patients

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, a recent injury, or stiffness from working at a desk, Dr. Zollner can help. Here are the most common conditions our Marinwood patients come in for:

Auto Accident Care for Marinwood Residents

Marinwood residents commute via Highway 101, and the Lucas Valley Road interchange (Exit 457) is one of the busier merge points in northern San Rafael. Rear-end collisions during morning and evening commutes are common along this stretch, and fender benders at the Miller Creek Road and Lucas Valley Road intersection happen regularly. If you've been in a car accident, chiropractic care can help with whiplash, neck pain, back pain, and other soft tissue injuries that often don't show up until days after the collision.

What You Should Know After an Accident

Dr. Zollner works with personal injury cases and can document your injuries for insurance purposes. Most auto insurance policies cover chiropractic care after an accident. The sooner you're evaluated, the better your chances of a full recovery and a properly documented claim.

Marinwood Resources for Active Living

Marinwood is a community built around an active, outdoor lifestyle. Whether you're hiking the ridgeline, swimming laps at the community pool, or cheering on the Trojans, staying active sometimes means dealing with pain. Here are local resources our patients frequently mention:

  • Marinwood Open Space

Over 800 acres of fire roads and singletrack trails across the ridgeline above Marinwood, connecting to the Lucas Valley Preserve for extended hikes and mountain bike rides. The Queenstone Fire Road and Big Rock Ridge Trail are popular routes with panoramic views, but the steep terrain and uneven footing can aggravate knee, ankle, and lower back issues. Multiple trailheads are accessible from Queenstone Drive and the end of Valleystone Drive.

  • Marinwood Community Park & Pool

Located at 775 Miller Creek Road, the park includes playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, and the community swimming pool. A hub for family recreation in Marinwood, with summer concert series, sports camps, and the popular fall festival. The Marinwood Pool is home to youth swim programs, and the park's trails along Miller Creek and Church Hill offer easy walking routes close to home.

  • Mary E. Silveira Elementary School

Marinwood's neighborhood elementary school, part of the Miller Creek School District. Youth sports programs run through the Marinwood Community Services District, including tennis, soccer, basketball, and multi-sport camps at Miller Creek Middle School. Student athletes and active kids often benefit from chiropractic care for sports injuries and growing pains.

  • Miller Creek Middle School Athletics

Serving students from Marinwood, Lucas Valley, and Terra Linda, Miller Creek Middle School at 2255 Las Gallinas Avenue fields competitive sports teams and hosts community sports camps throughout the summer. Student athletes in soccer, basketball, tennis, and track are among our most frequent younger patients.

  • Kaiser Permanente San Rafael

Kaiser's San Rafael Medical Center on Lucas Valley Road is less than 5 minutes from Marinwood. Many of our Marinwood patients combine their Kaiser primary care with chiropractic treatment for a more complete approach to pain management. We coordinate with your primary care provider when needed.

  • Highway 101 Corridor

The 101 runs along the eastern edge of Marinwood, connecting residents to Novato, San Francisco, and points between. The Lucas Valley Road interchange (Exit 457) is one of the most common sources of auto accident cases we treat from Marinwood, particularly during commute hours. If you've been in a fender bender on 101, our office is one exit south.
